![]() Dr Maria values good communication between patients, doctors, allied health providers and non GP specialists and works together with experienced healthcare professionals to improve her patients’ wellbeing.ĭr Maria’s book Mum’s Guide to Pregnancy was published in 2017. Dr Maria has provided education sessions on asthma, puberty, anaphylaxis and menopause to community groups and primary schools.ĭr Maria is passionate about preventive medicine, continuity of care and ongoing education. She has a special interest in the management of food allergies, eczema, anaphylaxis and asthma in children. Dr Maria has always enjoyed working with babies, children and young adults, all the more so since starting her own family. She is experienced in skin cancer screening and management. Dr Maria’s interests include women’s, men’s, children’s, occupational and travel health. She has also worked in Queensland hospitals. However, there are other experienced GPs who can assist new patients.ĭr Maria is experienced in all aspects of general practice. She completed her medical degree at The University of Queensland in 2002 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).ĭr Maria does not have the capacity to take on new patients. ![]() Regularly invited to speak at conferences, Fiona enjoys adding her voice to the advocacy of Australia’s General Practitioners and helping to keep their interests in the public and government’s line of sight.ĭr Maria Boulton has enjoyed working in general practice and occupational health for almost two decades. She also sits on the AMAQ Council of General Practice. Empowering people to take charge of their own health and well-being is her driving ethos and she considers encouraging young doctors to actively participate in the ‘business’ of medicine equally important.įiona is proud to be part of a supported, committed and collegiate team which thrives in a workplace that actively focuses on providing continuity of care for all patients and all staff.įiona is a General Practice Representative on the AMA Queensland Council. In addition, with the outstanding success of Family Doctors Plus in Windsor and overwhelming endorsement from her clients, Fiona and her colleague, Dr Maria Boulton, are opening a second clinic to offer best practice services to a broader community. Helping the next generation of GPs to become independent, quality practitioners is particularly important to Fiona, so she teaches GP registrars, engaging them fully in the day-to-day life of her practice and supporting them as they tackle the numerous issues and volatility currently facing the profession.
